I recently purchased a new computer and put sam on it and discovered a problem. When I play music, it sounds fine but once I start talking, my mic sounds all crackly and pops and clicks. Sam worked just fine on my old computer. So I'm wondering why my mic settings are all messed up on this computer. When I use other apps like sound forge and skype, my mic sounds perfectly fine so I know it's gotta be a problem in sam. Can anyone help me with this? Do you know which settings I should set my mic to? I tried pipeline and that's when all the crackling starts up. I tried routing sam directly to my soundcard and I get no sound. If anyone could help me fix this I would really appreciate it. Thank you verymuch and I look forward to your replies.

i don't know what kind of soundcard do you use is a mouti soundcard or other if you use moulti soundcard you must
use sam direct from soundcard is better because sam will use sound from default recording
and if you want to setup mic when your talk do like this
1 go to your volume control
2 go to option and select properties
3 choose recording control and tap to lis view
and go to check mic has avelible in there or not if it have go to the next step
4 press enter in recording control and select check box in mic
if it's check box is check you will check volume is 100% ornot if is the same 100% it no problem
ok the last step i will tell you go to un check microphone in playback control and uncheck that and turn up your volume oh don't forget to check in your list view is microphone it check box or not ok i hope it can help you if not please tell abit more about your soundcard come with your new computer
or you must choose encoder in sam i think your mic will not playback when your talk
it's a good way do not choose direct from soundcard if you choose on audio setting to encoder
adn go to select source to audio pypeline
